INTERNATIONAL REFLEXOLOGY & LIFE SKILLS WORKSHOPS

COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Please read carefully: The following forms a legally binding contract between the student and International Reflexology & Life skills Workshops.

REQUIREMENTS

1. The student will attend the Course on the dates given and attend the times given for those dates or any dates which are necessarily rearranged.
2. The student will provide a model for the practical sessions whilst in training until the Principal/tutor decides the student has attained adequate knowledge in the practical application of Reflexology and Life Skills.
3. The student will undertake completion of all theoretical/written work and will submit such work at least four weeks before the date set for examinations.  Failure to submit all written work will mean that the student will not be entered for examinations on the Course examination date.
4. The student will undertake to submit case-study material, totalling 60 hours.  In addition, completion of written assessment papers underpinning evidence of theoretical learning must be completed pre-examination.
5. Those students who are unsuccessful in any part of their examinations or assessment are required to sit only the part failed and pay all costs of re-take examinations (see iii and iv below).
6. The student will attend additional tutorials over and above the required contact teaching hours at additional cost to themselves of £40.00 per hour if the Principal/tutor decides it necessary for the student to reach the required examination standard.
7. International Reflexology & Life Skills Workshops reserves the right to terminate training with a student immediately if the student breaches the terms of acceptance onto the chosen Course, or the student is found to be involved in criminal activities, unacceptable behaviour or non-attendance on a chosen Course.
8. Failure to attend Course dates is only permitted in the event of a death of a close family member, birth of a child of the partner of the student, holiday dates prearranged and with notification given to the Principal/tutor in good time before such holiday, and/or life problem.  In the event of illness, a 48 hour notification is expected before the date due for attendance on the chosen Course. Failure to do so may jeopardise continuance of training.
9. If necessary, International Reflexology & Life Skills Workshops reserves the right to change the venue and times of attendance of training.  In the event a requirement of any dates of attendance on a Course to be changed for any reason whatsoever, students will be notified in writing of such change and invited to negotiate alternative dates and times until a satisfactory alternative is agreed.
10. In the event of the Principal/Tutor being unable to teach on any training day International Reflexology & Life Skills Workshops reserves the right to either a) cancel and rearrange the Course date(s)/times/tuition (see above) and/or to substitute the Principal/Tutor with a tutor who meets the requirements of the accrediting bodies.
11. In the event of the student making a complaint about their chosen Course, negotiation and discussion with the Principal and Course tutor will be available to settle any disputes or complaints. Failure to resolve disputes and complaints will involve mediation with a representative from the AoR.

PAYMENT OF FEES

1. Course fees are to be paid for the chosen Course as outlined in the Prospectus.  The student will undertake to settle the total Course fees either in total before commencement of training or in agreement with the following:
2. Late payment of any part of the fees will incur interest at current basic bank rate accrued on a daily basis from the due date of part payment on the total fee outstanding.  Deposits are non-refundable.
3. All examination fees for the set date of the Course chosen by student are included in the Course fee.  Students who do not take their examinations on the date set for their chosen Course will be liable for all re-arranged examination costs, including costs of related materials, postage and packing and travel costs to and from the chosen venue. Including venue costs to be borne solely or divided equally between such students.
4. In the event of the student re-taking all or part of the examinations the student is responsible for all costs involved in sitting the examinations, whether singularly or with other students.
5. If the student elects to cease training at any point from acceptance onto a Course, having paid an initial instalment or total or partial fee payment within the said time for Course fees paid by instalments to be settled, any outstanding balance of fees will be required to be paid immediately on the date the student ceases training.  Insufficient grounds for non-attendance may jeopardise continuance of training and immediate settlement of outstanding fees.
6. In the event of International Reflexology & Life Skills Workshops terminating the Contract with the student due to unsatisfactory attendance, or for any reason whatsoever on the chosen Course; inadequate academic and practical application in the study and practice of Reflexology; non-payment of fees; serious misconduct or criminal activities, or other misdemeanours that are disruptive, abusive or offensive, no part of the Course fees will be reimbursed to the student.

INTERNATIONAL REFLEXOLOGY & LIFE SKILLS WORKSHOPS UNDERTAKE:

1. In the event of International Reflexology & Life Skills Workshops ceasing to trade or non-completion of the student's chosen Course the student will be reimbursed pro-rata fee repayments from the date training ceased, or notification that the Principal/Tutor is unable to fulfil the Contract with the student for any reason. Any refund due to the student will be calculated from the next Course date as fixed in the student's chosen Course. In addition, students will be assisted in finding an alternative placement with an accredited Reflexology Course.
2. In the event of sickness, a substitute tutor will be sought to continue teaching the Course content until such time as the main tutor resumes tutoring responsibility. In the event that a substitute tutor cannot be found, students have the right to request a refund of fees for the remaining untutored contact teaching hours, or request assistance with seeking an alternative Reflexology training establishment, accredited to the AoR, with whom they can complete studies.

The Terms and Conditions of Entry form a contract between the student and International Reflexology & Life Skills Workshops as detailed herein.
