Do You Know What You Want in Life? What Would Make You Happy and Contented? How Fulfilled Do You Feel in Life? Counselling can help you work out how to find out how to create the life you want. Counselling is not concerned with mental disturbance but with emotional and mental well-being, so that self-growth and self-understanding enable letting go of self-limitation, revealing the creative energy we all possess.
BASIC COUNSELLING TIPS FOR REFLEXOLOGISTS Good Listening involves keeping eye-contact and paraphrasing back to the other person so that they know you understand what they’ve said. Sympathy is different from Empathy! Counsellors don’t sympathise – or get emotionally involved with client’s feelings and life issues. Counsellors Empathise – listen, paraphrase and offer comments that help the client move forward with thoughts and feeling |

LIFE SKILLS CERTIFICATEProvision of a Life Skills Certificate will be available as a separate module for health-care professionals who wish to gain knowledge of how to help their patients or clients more effectively. The Course spans six months and encompasses theoretical counselling concepts and offers comprehensive learning for those thinking of training as a professional counsellor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). An important part of understanding the efficacy of counselling is to either have experienced it, or be prepared to enter counselling before embarking on the Course, or as a part of evidence-based learning during the Course. Registered counsellors in your area can be found on the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) website. The above criteria applies to both the Advanced Reflexology & Life Skills Diploma and to the Life Skills Certificate. Watch the homepage for more information on the Life Skills Certificate, or blog your your questions to the website. |
